April Schumann is not only an excellent nurse, but also a kind, thoughtful, and compassionate person. She very clearly put my care at the forefront. When I arrived, she could see my concerns and explained that what I had experienced was not ongoing and that the heart attack was over by then. After the cardiac stent procedure, I had a side effect: my left eye was not able to move to the right past about the midpoint, resulting in double vision. She looked into it on her own to help alleviate my concerns.

What is most impressive is how relatable she is. She made me feel important and shared her life experiences, which, for me, drew me closer and increased my confidence during the very frightening things that were happening. In my worst time, she was at her best. While she is an excellent nurse, she is also an excellent person. Someone I knew was doing everything in her power to make my experience a positive one, even at this horrible time in my life. She gave me confidence that this would all turn out all right, recalibrating my thoughts from gloom and doom to positivity.
