April is always giving, always asking what do you need, what can I do? Recently she came in with her teenage son and helped us deliver pizzas and donuts to the units on Super Bowl Sunday. She then was called back to assist on 2 cases in the Cath Lab. Even after being here all day, she was still willing to come back and help us at 9:00 pm for the night shift. We told her we had it, but she was very willing and sincere in her offer to come back. I've had the pleasure of knowing April for several years as we have worked together on different projects including health fairs. I think you will be hard-pressed to find a harder worker or more committed Frye employee and ambassador than her.

I have known April for 18 years. She is an icon of the nursing profession. She is a very knowledgeable and experienced nurse whose clinical judgment is exemplary. Moreover, she is compassionate and always puts the patient first. If I am ever a patient on the catheterization table, I want April at my side.

April's passion for patient care is apparent in all she does for the heart program. Aside from all her other duties, she continues to take call and actively participate in STEMI care. I see her here late at night checking on hypothermia patients and on weekends in the ED assisting with complex patients.

One night we had a very unstable STEMI that required many shocks while undergoing a coronary intervention. Our team was struggling to keep up with all that was going on. We desperately needed an extra set of hands! April had gotten the STEMI page and came by to check on us. She was our Superhero that night as well as many others.

April is the driving force behind our very successful program. Many thank yous to a nurse who truly loves what she does! Frye is blessed to have you.

April is our STEMI Coordinator and does an outstanding job. She is available 24/7 for any staff member or EMS employee that needs assistance. Patients are always first with her. She is very dedicated to our program and to saving lives- be it from community education, compression only CPR, hypothermia, or the RACE program and early STEMI activation. April makes a difference and has impacted many patients and families in our area in a very positive way. We are so fortunate to have her on our Frye team and we are better because of her.
