April Vaccianna, RN

April is being nominated for her dedication to patient care. She consistently exceeds expectations in meeting all the patients' needs. She is persistent in obtaining orders to ensure that the patients' care is appropriate. April has had to perform CPR on two separate patients, saving their lives. Her first patient, while performing wound care, the patient was having a normal conversation with her and suddenly went into cardiac arrest. April performed CPR for 10 minutes while waiting for EMS to arrive. She stayed with the wife after the patient was taken by ambulance to ensure she was going to have assistance getting to the ER. Her second patient was doing well; April was leaving the home and suddenly the patient became nauseated, diaphoretic, and went into cardiac arrest. She started CPR, and EMS arrived. She works independently with vast knowledge, confidence, and compassion. She is always willing to change her schedule if a patient or team member is in need. Her documentation is thorough. She is always willing to precept new team members. April is a great asset to our company, branch, and our patients.
