I am the manager of the fourth floor Medical/Surgical unit at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. I wanted to touch base as I have a travel nurse on my unit who has received so many compliments since her recent arrival. Today I had a patient and their wife tell me they are writing a letter to the CEO of our hospital to brag about how wonderful she is. April Washington is the nurse that I am referring to. She truly has been a gift. The patients boast about how special she is and how they can tell that she loves to take care of people. She is attentive and goes way above her duties to make the patients feel safe and well cared for. It is truly appreciated by all. I would love it if she could be recognized for her extraordinary nursing, as she truly deserves something for how much heart and soul she is putting into her work here.
