I wanted to take a minute to recognize one of our nurses for going above and beyond today for a patient who was not even hers. An open-heart patient from last week is still admitted to S2E. Her daughter, unfortunately, was involved in a critical car accident last night and is currently in STICU on full support. Aprill Exley went to S2E and escorted the patient to see her daughter in STICU. She took the time to thoroughly explain to the mother what all the lines and drains were, and who the Techs were. She remained with the patient for approximately 30 minutes to provide support. Thank you, Aprill, for being such a strong ambassador for our unit and our organization.
