Argie L Boehrig, RN

Argie was so sweet to my hard-of-hearing Dad. Rather than "yell" at him as most people do, she would get close to him and make eye contact. She never left without ensuring he knew what she said. He smiles and nods a lot - even when he doesn't hear or comprehend what others are saying but she always confirms her message before she leaves. She teased him a little and he would light up when she came in the room.

Even when she was not his nurse, she would stop in and say hi. I believe she went above and beyond with the care she dispensed. Not only did Argie provide stellar nursing services, but she also showed compassion and a genuine concern for his mental well-being as well as his physical. In Addition, she was always checking on me - making sure I was eating, taking a break, and getting rest. Argie is truly one of the best assets Sacred Heart has for patient (and family) care.
