This was the hardest journey that our family has ever had. From the moment we met Ariana she became like our family. Her gentle kindness and her extreme efficiency in always knowing what to do and to also offer to do more were so apparent. Ariana has a non-invasive approach but is completely there when you need her for anything and that includes just listening. Her approach calmed us and talking to her about our home which is far away helped us adjust to being in Toronto and at the hospital. We were struggling and Ariana just kept being so kind to us and we felt that she really cared. I was trying to keep busy and not go crazy in a small isolation room by trying to learn Spanish. Ariana went home and got her old Spanish lessons she had had from school and brought them in for me, it was a very lovely thing to do to help me cope better and it worked! Ariana, if not our nurse, would slip in to say hi to O and us, and ask how wewere doing. It is the power of sincerity and kindness that swirls in Ariana's heart. She is simply a wonderful person who somehow has made this time so much better. When we see her, we smile and feel she is here because she cares. Ariana always listens and includes us in how she presents information to the team and she always gets any information to us as soon as she knows anything. She would also always find out anything if we had questions or concerns. For any emotional meltdowns she was just 'here', sometimes no words were needed. Ariana is just a great, thoughtful and amazing person and we feel privileged to have added her to our family. Thank you, Ariana, for everything.
