August 2026 Honoree
Arianna Kyramarios-Wall, RN
There are moments in life that remind you that kindness still exists: A husband lay in a hospital bed on the day that means the most to him, his wedding Anniversary. Unable to leave, his heart was broken that he could not provide his bride with a gift that he had done for years.
Seeing his disappointment, Arianna decided to use her own time and money to buy a beautiful bouquet of flowers, so he would have a gift for his wife when she arrived. The patient was beyond grateful for her act of kindness, but if you could have seen the look on his wife's face when she arrived
No one asked her to do it. She simply saw a patient who was hurting and found a way to ease his pain. This simple act of compassion meant far more than flowers to the patient and his wife.
It preserved a cherished tradition, brought comfort to two people during a difficult time, and showed that healing isn't only about medicine; it's also about humanity.
