I arrived in Johnson 303B via the hospital's Emergency Room for respiratory and blood imbalance issues. During the first full day, Arianna was one of the nurses attending to my care. Of note are the compassion Arianna showed and the way that she introduced this octogenarian to the routines that would be followed. She kindly yet clearly explained that there was "no modesty in the hospital" and that the nurses would be respectful at all times. Indeed, she demonstrated this with each bedside visit. She carefully explained the treatment and spoke to me about my family while sharing stories of hers. At all times, her explanations were presented in a manner that was easily understood and delivered in a way that demonstrated kindness and caring. I am not qualified to judge nursing skills; however, I am quite capable of judging personality traits of compassion, kindness, and a willingness to listen. These seem to come from within the person's very being. Training plus innate attributes equal a wonderful combination. Arianna has this combination in abundance. Beverly Hospital is fortunate to have her on staff, and I was fortunate to be in her care.
