This nurse is amazing! She along with the other nurses helped me feel comfortable and accepted. I just had my third child, C, but this is the first time I have been in this unit. My daughter is in NICU and I had to have a c-section. This was the first time I had a child that was not in the room with me. It was lonely and scary at first. I worried about my daughter a lot because I was unable to see her while I was taking a medication called magnesium. This nurse was there every step of the way to reassure me that my daughter was okay and to make sure that I was well taken care of. My nurse informed me on how to visit my daughter in NICU. She transported me to see C in a wheelchair when my family members were gone. She helped me stay in contact with my child's nurses and doctors, she gave me the phone number for the NICU unit and for help with lactation. She was very helpful and I truly do appreciate everything that she has done for me and my baby when I was in so much pain from surgery and could barely stand, or walk, she was there to help me and send down my freshly pumped breast milk. I am so happy to have had her on this journey with me. She listened to all of my concerns and helped my doctor reach me via phone since I missed him in person while I visited my daughter in NICU. She made me feel like another human being and accepted unlike feeling ignored and rejected, and for that, I am forever grateful. Thank you, Ariel!
