Without the effort that Ariel put into strategizing his plan of care, the patient would not be with us today.
Ariel goes above and beyond every day for all of her patients. A specific example would be with one of her patients who was experiencing a steady decline in health each passing month while on PD modality due to uncontrollable factors, which resulted in poor clearance. The fact that they were uncontrollable did not stop Ariel from trying every possible avenue to keep him on home modality. Especially since the patient himself was desperate not to go to ICHD to the point that he even stated he would discontinue dialysis before going back to ICHD. Ariel fought to keep him on PD for as long as it was safe to do so. Thankfully, she was able to do so until he accepted to do HHD. Without the effort that she put into strategizing his plan of care, the patient would not be with us today.
