June 2025 Honoree
Ariel Valencia, RN
Ariel was my nurse in the ICU. I do not know her last name. I was admitted to the ICU at Christus Spohn South. Although everybody was great, she is in a league of her own. She was not only my nurse but my friend as well. Although I had never met her before, she made me feel so cared for and loved. I could just feel the love and kindness in her touch. I have white coat syndrome, and she made me feel so at ease and made me feel like a person, not just a patient. She worked with me so gently, and I could just feel the love coming from her. This is a very special young woman, and I was blessed that God put her in my path. She most certainly went into the right profession, and many people through her years of work with be very blessed to have her as their nurse.
Thank you, Ariel, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
