I am 26 years old and went to the Torrance Memorial ER for chest pain. I had several EKGs done showing abnormalities. I thought I had a serious heart condition (and still might). However, the cardiologists were unable to find a definitive origin of the chest pain, but it is suspected that anxiety stress is causing it (possible vasospasms or SVT arrhythmia). I was sent home. I had even more anxiety as I waited for a follow up appointment to receive further tests, which further exacerbated my chest pain. A couple of days later I had my first follow-up appointment. That's when I met Arielle. I have been seen by many excellent doctors and nurses, but I have never met anyone like Arielle. She not only gave me excellent medical advice, but she also made me feel safe and made me feel like I was going to be okay. She listened to me. She cared. I left feeling like a different person. My anxiety was greatly reduced, and my chest pain almost immediately seemed to get better. It has been two weeks, and my chest pain has almost completely gone away without any medication. I still have more tests to go through to pinpoint the source of the chest pain, but thanks to Arielle, I am not afraid anymore.
