Every night working with Arlene she deserves a Daisy Award. As soon as you find out that you are working with Arlene you know that no matter how short the staffing is or how many admissions we have, she will always be ready to give a smile and lend out a helping hand.
The most memorable night was on Tuesday, February 24, 2009. I had 2 critical patients, plus a new admission coming in via helicopter from Centra state for an emergency craniotomy. The patient was very critical and needed all my time. Arlene helped me so much that night and ended up helping me care for all my patients. In addition, she accompanied the critical patient to CAT scan. Arlene also took time that evening to spend with the family of the critical patient. She gave them so much attention and sat with them for awhile to comfort them. Arlene even escorted them out to their car in the parking lot. These are some of the things I can remember about Arlene but I could go on and on.
Each day with Arlene is a pleasure and she definitely deserves the daisy award
