I was unexpectedly diagnosed with acute appendicitis and required urgent surgery. I felt scared and alone, but Arlene made me feel better. I was due to fly home that day. I got to call my daughter, as Arlene understood how important that was for me. I had recently just lost my husband, and I was very scared with this new diagnosis and being so far from home. My daughter is an only child, so this call was very important for us.
