Arlene Van Dyk, RN

Arlene truly went above and beyond her duties as a nurse while taking care of a 24-year-old patient who was in the ICU for over a month. Arlene went out of her way to order food and coffee for the patient's family (who never left the bedside) and even went to purchase a small basketball hoop and ball for the patient’s bed (with her own money). These small “extras” made an enormous difference in the patient/family’s stay and ultimate recovery! Arlene even went on her day off to visit the patient and family at Kessler, where he continued to receive aggressive rehab/physical therapy. Arlene should be recognized for her huge heart and compassion!
