Arlene Villapando, BSN, RN
Arlene G. Villapando, BSN, RN, graduated from Olivarez College in Paranaque City. Originally from the Philippines, Mrs. Villapando migrated to the United States in 1995 along with her husband and daughter. Mrs. Villapando’s first career was as a Production Operator for Advanced Micro Devices while she was studying for her Industrial Engineering degree. However, when her mother became very ill and passed away at a young age, Mrs. Villapando decided to dedicate her life to Nursing while helping her father take care of her five younger siblings. This life experience made her realize how important it is to understand diseases and appreciate the significant contributions of Nurses in healthcare.
Mrs. Villapando has 13 years of Skilled Nursing Experience at VMH-SNC in Brooklyn and currently 14 years as a Staff Nurse in Ambulatory Care-Specialty Practice at NYC H+H/ Woodhull. As a recipient of the “Best in Community Health Nursing Award” in college, Mrs. Villapando hopes to join some medical missions in her hometown in the future.
