After a critical injury and life-saving brain surgery, my boyfriend was transferred to neuro 6S where he received excellent care from ALL staff, however, this nurse sticks out prominently in his mind as the very best. She was able to instill a feeling of trust in a situation where he was without insight or judgment due to his injury. She was caring and compassionate and went above and beyond in her excellent care of him. She took the time to educate him at each contact, even though she had to repeat the information given multiple times due to his brain injury and memory issues. She took the time each and every time to explain EVERYTHING. She understood and listened. She is keenly able to motivate her co-workers to provide that same level of care. Nursing excellence displayed in this lady! During our time at your facility, I witnessed amazing acts of care and compassion at all levels.
