Armalyn Ramiscal had a 15 y/o post kidney transplant patient who had a difficult and lengthy recovery. Complications resulted in her going back on dialysis and she became depressed because of the extended hospitalization of approx. 2 months. After her health improved, through the approval of the transplant team, Ammalyn knowing how much she missed her dogs, arranged and coordinated with the family to bring her dogs to the hospital. After the visit with the dogs she returned to the nursing unit with a big smile and in less than a week later she was discharged.
