After her father received multiple diagnoses and suffered from extreme pain, this patient's family member could only hope for relief in the form of compassion. What this family member didn't realize is that while her father was the patient, Arnie was also taking care of her.
"Her bedside manner, kindness, and love seemed to make all the difference," the patient's daughter wrote. "It was just a fresh breath of healing."
For many nurses, going the extra mile is just part of the job and helping a patient heal may seem like just one aspect. However, the healing goes beyond the patients and into the hearts, worries, and fears of each and every family member.
"As a daughter, I can't express my gratitude. I am forever grateful."
The family member found a little piece of heaven on earth inside Saint Agnes Medical Center.
"Arnie is truly an angel," she wrote. "I believe she saved my father's life."
