Arthur Crispino, RN

I arrived on the 5th floor after a challenging 9 hour stay in the ER. I was frightened at the possibility of having had a heart attack and since I sent my husband back to our hotel to get some sleep - I was alone. Arthur greeted me with a smile and immediately created a calm professional "you’re in good hands" environment. Arthur’s style was both professional and caring. When he asked me a question he took the time to look me in the eye and listened to my response. Before performing any procedure Arthur told me about the procedure and asked if I understood and was ok with moving forward. A clear example of his caring nature is that as I rested on my bed dosing on and off Arthur asked if I wanted a blanket. I responded that I didn't need one. A few minutes later when I opened my eyes there was Arthur placing a blanket by the foot of my bed - saying it would be there just in case I wanted it later. I will not soon forget Arthur's kindness. He is the best example of nursing care.
