Artur Novosolov, BSN, RN
Nomination #1:
I would like to nominate Artur for a DAISY Award because he was exceptionally helpful and compassionate throughout the entire day.
Our day began with a Code Blue on 3C, and although Artur works on 3B, he immediately came to assist. He performed excellent compressions and continuously looked for ways to help wherever needed during the emergency.
Later that day, we responded to a nurse alert outside the coffee shop after a patient had fallen to the ground. Artur happened to be nearby on his lunch break, yet he immediately stepped in to help us safely transfer the patient onto a stretcher and into the ED trauma room.
Not long after that, there was another fall; a rapid response was called on his unit. Once again, Artur was in the room helping. At the time, only one Rapid Response RN was present, and she asked Artur to assist with transporting the patient to CT. Without hesitation, he was willing to help, even though the patient was not assigned to him. The Rapid RN later realized this and asked the patient’s primary nurse instead, but the fact that Artur was immediately ready and willing to assist with someone else’s patient speaks volumes about his teamwork and character.
Artur was truly a superstar all around that day. His willingness to jump in, support others, and provide excellent patient care did not go unnoticed. One DAISY nomination hardly feels like enough to recognize how valuable he was to the team and our patients.
Nomination #2:
I am with the Palliative Medicine team here at HFWB. I wanted to take a moment to recognize and commend Artur for the outstanding care, vigilance, and teamwork he demonstrated today. He took the time to help me piece together the events leading up to today’s clinical decline, including details surrounding the rapid response yesterday evening. He shared important assessment findings, provided valuable clinical insight, and was able to clearly identify significant changes from the patient’s baseline condition.
Based on the information he provided, I was able to escalate concerns to the primary team, who subsequently ordered a CT scan. This intervention revealed bilateral pulmonary emboli and very likely helped prevent a significantly worse outcome for the patient. What stood out most to me was that Artur was not even assigned to this patient today, yet he still took ownership, spoke up, and advocated for the patient without hesitation.
His attentiveness, communication, and commitment to patient safety truly exemplify excellent nursing practice and interdisciplinary collaboration. I wanted to make sure his exceptional work and clinical judgment were recognized. Please extend my sincere appreciation and thanks to him.
