Asabi Watson, RN

Asabi is an outstanding nurse who goes above and beyond to provide her patients with the best all-encompassing nursing care. She possesses the quality of having a consistent focus on meeting patient and family needs. For example, there was a patient whom she was caring for who had been in the hospital for an extended length of time. The patient had shoulder-length hair that was braided and had not been done since the length of his hospital stay. His hair had become frizzy and matted down, and his family member wanted someone to care for it and re-braid it.

Asabi was also caring for another critically ill patient, but she went above and beyond and made time to detangle, moisturize, and re-braid his hair neatly. The family member and the patient were very appreciative. Asabi also sometimes takes on the role of charge nurse while having a full patient assignment, all while having a positive attitude. Her ability to multitask, critically think, and provide competent nursing care is evident in her excellent interpersonal skills.
