Asgar Hussain, BSN, RN

Mr. Asgar Hussain has been with Saudi German Hospital Jeddah since September of 1997 hence being of service in our institution for 25 years. He initially worked in the Emergency Department as a charge nurse and then eventually became the unit supervisor. Because of his perseverance, he got promoted to the Nursing Administration. In 2021, he became our Acting Chief Nurse Officer for Administrative Affairs for some months. Many of us have personally witnessed his professional growth.

Mr. Asgar has a distinguished career as a nurse in clinical practice, administration, education, and research that promote a positive image of nursing. He has demonstrated and actively engaged in the professional development of himself and others by dynamically participating in nurse council meetings. He has also served as a role model and advocates for nursing practice and the advancement of nursing. He ensures that our institution has the latest and state-of-the-art medical equipment and supplies to enhance our nursing practice and patient care delivery services. He gathers feedback from other nurses and coordinates with other departments to ensure the continuity of our operations.

Furthermore, he has advocated for the improvement of patient care and served as a good example of improving the patient experience. He has listened to patients’ and families’ concerns and has facilitated the successful resolution of the complaints. He has been recognized by a broader nursing community, which in our case the SGH Group, as a transformational nursing leader by serving as one of our Nursing Administrators as previously mentioned. Even during his off-duty hours, Mr. Asgar still chooses to come and help with any hospital issues. Additionally, he has shown true professionalism, support, and commitment for all the years of his service.
