Ash helped deliver both of my beautiful daughters. She provided so much love, comfort, care, and her shoulder for me to cry on both times.
It all started when I went into labor at 38 weeks pregnant. My husband and I were so incredibly excited to welcome our firstborn daughter into the world when we met Ash. Ash and L were the nurses who were assessing my labor. I had no idea what to expect as I was a first time mom. Unfortunately, during the assessment, unbeknownst to our knowledge, our daughter had passed away. Ash took it upon herself to do anything and everything she could to make me comfortable. She never left my side. She was with my husband and I through the entire labor. Including with me almost 24 hours (well past her 12hr shift ending), including coming back on little to no sleep when I was cleared to be released from the hospital. Ash held me through my epidural because I was absolutely terrified. She held my hand through the pushes. She held me as I cried, she comforted me as I processed what was going on and explained to me what was to come next in the labor process. She and another nurse were my rocks during labor.
2 years passed and I found out I was pregnant with my second child. All I could think was that I wanted MY nurses to share this moment with me because I needed my rocks. I updated them my entire pregnancy. All three told me they would be there every step of the way. When it was time for my induction, Ash was ready. Once again, she went above and beyond with my care during labor. She held my hand, listened to my concerns, answered every question I had. She was my rock once again. Held me during my epidural again. She continuously encouraged me. She believed in me more than I believed in myself. I was absolutely petrified because I was afraid of giving birth to another stillborn. But after about 15 hours of labor with a lot of laughing, crying, and lots of fear, my rainbow baby was here. Alive and healthy. Ash helped deliver both of my beautiful daughters. She provided so much love, comfort, care, and her shoulder for me to cry on both times. She didn’t have to stay over during my labors. She didn’t have to hold me when I asked, but she did. She went above and beyond in both labors to make me comfortable. Having her as our nurse helped make the process of each birth so much easier. My husband and I are incredibly grateful to her and the entire L&D staff at Harrison County Hospital for the care and support we received during both labors.

I came in at 1:30 in the morning 4 cm dilated and tired; she was extraordinary from the start. She was so beyond attentive to my needs and to my precious baby's needs. I had the wonderful opportunity to have her twice during my stay. First while laboring and second the first night after having my beautiful boy. She made sure to offer help any chance she could get. Ashley was hands down the best nurse I had during my stay. That first night was rough, and she made sure to make known that she was there if I needed her no matter what. Thank you, Ashley. We adore you.
