I felt like I had a friend, and I can’t thank her enough for everything, especially for her compassion and care she provided me while I was here.
I was brought in by ambulance from urgent care due to severe stomach pain when Asha came in my room. She was so professional and upbeat and friendly to me, explaining all the details and making sure I understood. She explained all my meds and everything she was doing and had planned to do for my care. She made me feel safe and she was trustworthy. She was right there making sure my pain was controlled and when it wasn’t working, she was calling the doctors in seconds to request I have something different. She made me feel like I was not alone. She was so comforting honestly when I told her I just lost my mom a few weeks ago. She was supportive and caring, I felt like I wasn’t alone and that was a great feeling. I felt like I had a friend, and I can’t thank her enough for everything, especially for her compassion and care she provided me while I was here. She definitely deserves this award. There should be more nurses like her. You can tell she loves her job, and she cares, and that is what matters the most. It matters the most, it makes a big difference when someone cares. You are lucky to have her, that is for sure.
