When you are in a vulnerable position in the hospital, not feeling well, that’s the kind of person you want taking care of you.
Warm, welcoming, and stable caregiver always on top of my pain, always made sure she checked in at a consistent time. Anything my family needed, she was more than willing to accommodate. Never made me feel like I was asking for too much or that I was bothering her. She worked well with her coworkers. She always had really great things to say about them and the organization in general.
Ashanti did a great job of making sure that she knew what my needs were, as my medical care is pretty complicated, and my history as well. She did her best to collect information and go from there so that I didn't have to keep telling the same story. I noticed that whenever she would change shifts that the nurse coming in was always well-versed on what I needed or had been going on.
Ashanti didn't do just one big thing that made her stand out it was just her, in general. She was just kind, very consistent, cautious, and concerned. She was genuinely someone who I feel like really cared about my well-being. When you are in a vulnerable position in the hospital, not feeling well, that’s the kind of person you want taking care of you. She was very encouraging. She would tell me every day you are getting better, telling me how strong I was, and to keep fighting the fight, and I appreciated it.
