Ashanti was my nurse over most of my stay on 8C2 which was over 2 months. I cannot pinpoint one specific story, but I can say enough good things about her work as a nurse. She always prioritized her patient’s needs above anything else.

For me, my pain was always a huge concern and she always made sure to bring my pain medication as soon as it was due. She updated my whiteboard to keep me in the loop. During my bad moments when I could barely turn in my bed, she would comfort me and assure me that it will get better. Fast forward to 2 months and I am finally back on my feet and completely independent. Ashanti continued to remind me of how much progress I had made. She shared how proud she was of me and allowed me to express my concerns and ideas about my care. Her competency as a nurse showed through every task, she had to do for me. I couldn’t imagine getting through this without her.
