Durning a recent hospitalization my husband received 4 bags of IV potassium. This can be quite painful! We were blessed to have a nurse who exemplified true dedication and caring for her patients! She continually assessed his comfort level, monitoring and making adjustments during the infusion so he was able to tolerate the ordeal and even napa little. She was so caring and attentive each time she had him during his stay; while being prepped for colonoscopy (dt rectal bleeding) she was right there with the nursing assistants changing linens and cleaning him multiple times as needed maintaining a pleasant demeanor. As a retired nurse who for a period worked in hospice care where comfort is such a high priority, I am always drawn to nurses who exhibit this extra comforting care. We are most grateful for her care and think you should know she is certainly an asset to the Mcleod Nursing team.
