These are very stressful times in nursing and having the additional responsibility of an entire floor... I can't imagine what her days must be like. What I can say is, my interaction with her was professional and caring; Ashley showed a genuine concern for what I was feeling and seeing. Unfortunately, my husband has been admitted to this floor several times. Dave was feeling that no one cared about him, and it had a great effect on him.

After talking with him in my encounter with his nurse, I asked to speak with the charge nurse. Ashley came and introduced herself and let me talk about our experience and during the conversation she made me feel that she understood my concerns. She took the time to focus on us even when she received a call. She told me what she could do regarding the room and said she would put a call into the doctor about D's pain. Within an hour, D was moved, and his pain was under control! Ashley came back several times just to make sure we were okay and if there was anything else she could do. Ashley is a valuable asset to Banner and her team. She shows all signs of a great leader, shows empathy for her patients and family and does what she says. Ashely is a role model. Ashley, you are a blessing not only to us but to all you encounter. Thank you!
