Ashley is a kind and passionate individual. She goes above and beyond to help out her patients and in assisting her fellow co-workers. She greets everyone with her big, beautiful smile and positive attitude. As a nurse, she is steadily busy working in the pools and assisting providers. When she sees that the medical assistants are swamped, she will get up and help us get caught up.  She is a true asset to our team, and we are all blessed to be able to work with her. Seeing her passion and confidence on a daily basis has encouraged not only myself but others to grow in our careers.

Our patients love and trust her. I have heard nothing but compliments from them toward Ashley. One day, a patient pulled me to the side and stated, "I'm so grateful that I have Ashley as my nurse. She has always taken care of me when I need help. She worked really hard to get medicine approved through my insurance."

Before work one day, Ashley and I were walking towards the building, we saw an elderly patient fall. The patient hit their head and was bleeding. Ashley and I stopped what we were doing and went to assist the patient. She cleaned up the patient and soothed them, while I took vitals and called the ambulance. The patient was taken to the hospital shortly.

Ashley exemplifies our values with IU Health. I can not think of a better person who is more deserving of this award than her.
