Ashley continuously demonstrates compassionate care and empathy for her patients. In this particular case, Ashley once again has provided care over and beyond the call of duty.
We had a patient who is a victim of domestic violence and is homeless. Besides caring for the wounds this patient suffered and advocating for the patient's needs. Ashley provided clothes, toiletries and general supplies for the patient at discharge. Ashley arranged for the concierge to pick up items for her and provided her credit card. Ashley is selfless, compassionate and never requires a thanks, which is why she deserves a DAISY award.
