Besides being beautiful inside and out, this nurse is kind, understanding, and encouraging. This nurse is wonderful and made time to give me special attention. I needed to get well, and she was vital in my recovery. I came to 3 Tower, a broken person dealing with liver disease and a non-functioning kidney. This nurse made sure to follow my doctor's orders, even when I did not want to. When I was going through dialysis, she made sure to make the kitchen staff feed me early, and made my tired, broken body at ease when I got back from dialysis. The doctors informed me that if I survived, I would be on dialysis for the rest of my life. After that devastating news, my nurse was there with encouraging words and excellent care that made me want to fight so hard. Within a week, my kidneys were functioning at a normal rate, and dialysis was stopped--all WITHIN 1 week!
I would like to thank my nurse, and she needs to be recognized for her excellence in patient care and her role in the hospital. Ashley Chatham is a true DAISY Nurse.
