Ashley Cordell, RN
I would like to commend Ashley Cordell for the exceptional care she provided during my overnight stay after my tonsillectomy at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital. From the moment she took over my care, Ashley made me feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for during what could have been a very difficult and uncomfortable night.
Throughout my stay, Ashley checked on me frequently and never made me feel like I was a burden. She was incredibly attentive to my pain level and made sure my pain was managed effectively so I could rest comfortably. She paid close attention to how I was feeling, responded quickly whenever I needed something, and always approached me with kindness, patience, and compassion.
What stood out most to me was how dedicated she was to making sure I was comfortable not only physically, but emotionally as well. Having surgery and staying overnight in the hospital can be stressful and overwhelming, but Ashley’s calm demeanor and reassuring presence helped ease my anxiety and made the experience so much better than I expected. She consistently went above and beyond by anticipating my needs, checking in without being asked, and making sure I had everything I needed throughout the night.
Ashley exemplifies what nursing should be. Her compassion, attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine care for her patients made a lasting impression on me. Because of the outstanding care she provided, I truly felt supported and cared for during my recovery. I am incredibly grateful for everything she did.
