A patient's wife wrote:
"My husband was admitted on December 6th and was to be released on December 9th. Early that morning, he had a major heart attack and was transferred to ICU; Ashley was his nurse.
Ashley immediately explained to me what was being done for my husband in such a calm and caring manner that was easy for me to understand. Throughout the morning, various physicians were in and out ordering tests. After each doctor left, she asked if I had understood everything and proceeded to clarify.
After all the testing and a diagnosis were made, she was there for me asking if I needed anything and supporting me with a hug when things were bad. Until he left on the helicopter, she was with us constantly. Ashley more than meets the criteria listed on the form. I am proud to nominate her for the DAISY award and doubly proud for her to be a member of the Montgomery family!"
