January 2024 Honoree
Ashley Doig, RN
Ashley has been faced with multiple difficult patients recently. One arrived to have an endoscopy, and Ashley hooked him to vitals, immediately noticed irregularities, and assessed the patient, who was actively having heart attack signs/symptoms. She notified the MD and had the patient ready for ambulance upon arrival. She stayed with the patient and spoke with the family.
The second patient was a post-op patient who was doing very well post, but he suddenly became bradycardic and dysphoric. She stayed at the bedside, and the patient flatlined. She pushed the code button and began CPR, and the patient came back. The family and patient were appreciative of her fast-acting and constant assessment.

Thank you, Ashley, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
