Ashley Fyfe, RN, BSN
I would like to recognize our nurse for her extraordinary care, professionalism, and compassion during one of the most terrifying moments of our lives when our daughter was rushed to the hospital in anaphylactic shock.
From the very first moment she entered the room, Ashley brought a sense of calm and control that immediately put us at ease. While our world felt like it was falling apart, she was steady, confident, and decisive. Her quick thinking and clinical skill were nothing short of lifesaving. She recognized the severity of the situation, acted without hesitation, and ensured our daughter received the care she needed as quickly as possible.
What truly set her apart, however, was not just her medical expertise, but her humanity. She took the time to explain what was happening in a way we could understand, even while managing a high-pressure emergency. She checked in with us constantly, reassured us, and showed genuine empathy for our fear. She spoke to our daughter with kindness and warmth, helping her feel safe during a very scary experience.
Ashley did not treat us like just another case; she treated us like a family who mattered. Her presence made an unbearable situation more manageable, and we will never forget the impact she had on us during that day.
She represents the very best of nursing: calm under pressure, deeply knowledgeable, compassionate, and fully dedicated to her patients. We are forever grateful for her care, and we believe she is more than deserving of recognition for the incredible difference she makes in the lives of others.

My daughter was very sick this week, and we unfortunately had two visits to St. Luke's and one to BCH. Ashley was our nurse both times, and she was very caring, compassionate, helpful, and very resourceful.
As a mom of a medically complex child, it's very stressful when a hospital visit is needed, but Ashley made our stay comfortable. She reassured us things would be okay and even offered some great resources going forward. I'm so appreciative of her help and her patience with my daughter, as she isn't so easy, but Ashley did her absolute best each visit.
Her pride and compassion for these children and patients should not go unseen or unnoticed. Thank you, Ashley!

Our son was seen in the Pediatric ER for GI issues, and from the moment Nurse Ashley entered the room, her presence immediately shifted the atmosphere. We had been feeling frustrated after waiting over an hour without seeing anyone, but Ashley's calm and confident demeanor quickly reassured us that everything was under control.
What stood out most was how genuinely she engaged with our child. She got down to his level, listened attentively, and gave him the time and space to share his story in his own words. In doing so, she made both him and us feel truly heard and cared for. Not once did Ashley make us feel rushed or as if we were a burden.
She offered thoughtful reassurance to our son and to us as parents, which made a world of difference during a stressful time. Ashley is truly a gem. Her ability to connect, comfort, and instill trust is something that cannot be taught. You are incredibly fortunate to have someone like her on your team.
