Our mother was on the north 6th floor for a while and during our stay many nurses rose above the others to teach us and our mother what was going on with my mother's health. There were several nurses, but Ashley was different. Ashley showed such compassion for our mother and did her job with such excellence. Our family would like for Ashley and many of the nurses to receive this DAISY Award, but especially Ashley. When a nurse talks to a patient and explains what's going on in a truthful and honest way and with such compassion, they must be reminded how important they are. Please give Ashley this award for her dedication to her patients and her job. Every nurse is different and does their job in accordance with the guidelines of their position which they are given but sometimes you meet one that rises above the others and Ashley did. She treated Carmie Battaglio with love, honesty and compassion. I told her and the nurses on the 6th floor daily that I personally appreciate everything they did for our mother and all patients on the floor. Thank you, Ashley!
