WOW!!! Where do I even begin…Ashley "Angel Nurse" Isaccs walked into our room and started her shift as if she had been given an assignment personally by the almighty himself (I am convinced of that).

My husband age 83 was admitted to the NEURO and doing quite well despite being diagnosed with a brain bleed, day after day he "passed" the doctor's and staff's cognitive and/or physical tests, ate on his own and chatted...up until Day 4 of his hospital stay...it all fell apart due to my husband’s UTI.

On day 5 & Day 6 my husband was out of character, a bit of a handful, always annoyed, constantly moaning and moving about, and not eating or drinking, thus the cognitive physical tests ceased...and it was disheartening to hear the nurses discussing putting mitts and restraints on him, all I could do was cry.

Day 7 in walks this angel in disguise (I really mean that)!! She observed my husband, her patient, and went right to work, and explained to me what she had done to help him and why she took that course of care for him. Within 20 minutes she had my husband comfortable and resting and me as well. When the doctors entered D's room, the way she and the doctor interrelated I knew my prayers had been answered.

Ashley just had a sense of "knowing" right from the start throughout her shift she kept me abreast of D’s medical situation in detail regarding his meds, lab work, vitals, etc. I could tell she enjoyed with and caring for her patient, and that it was second nature to her. I will never forget and will be forever grateful for my husband's Angel Nurse...She definitely is a DAISY Nurse...Hands Down!!

Thank you, Ashley, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
