Ashley went above and beyond for my NICU baby. She was delivered six weeks early, and I was so unsure of what was to come with having a NICU baby, especially with this being my first baby.

Ashley made us feel like family by making her a little St Patrick’s Day craft for her crib when she wasn’t even her patient yet. Always so warm and welcoming, checking on her, until one day she finally had her as her patient assignment. I couldn’t have been more thrilled. She was her nurse for three to four days, and I finally got to see how extraordinary a person and nurse she is.

She was so sweet by doing the little things; shaping her NG tube tape in the shape of a heart, going out of her way to purchase things like a diaper caddy, clothes, swaddle, binky, to huge things like being patient with her feedings, ensuring she took the entire feeding by bottle, to advocating so strongly for her to our doctor.

She’s truly such a beautiful person and so deserving of this award. I could go on and on and on, but these are just a few reasons why. Thank you.
