I had been in extreme pain prior to surgery - struggling with orthopedic pain and terrible PMR. When I woke up from my surgery, I felt immediate relief, with the meds and nerve block on board. But I was frightened - very frightened! I had been told by many that once the nerve block wore off, the pain would be awful. Given what I had experienced the previous year, I couldn't imagine what could be ahead. When my family left, I told Ashley about my fear. She was so reassuring. So kind. So encouraging and so attentive. She reassured me saying, "I've got you, you'll be okay." I believed her. And she managed my pain with excellence. I'm so grateful for Ashley!
