We traveled from out of state (New York) to have a difficult surgery for my 14-year-old daughter. Ashley was talking to A and learned A may want to go into the medical field one day. Ashley treated her like a ‘junior nurse’ and explained everything she did in kid's terms while also teaching her. A was so into Ashley that her fear was gone, she was at ease and did not even feel her IV. Ashley was amazing and not only took away A’s fear but eased ours as well. She made A feel special.

A even teared up after we left. This fantastic nurse went the extra mile and made our daughter feel so safe and special. As a scared parent, I could not have asked for a better nurse. Ashley also gave A a fleece blanket that made her feel safe. She sleeps with that blanket every night. Thank you so much, Ashley!
