Ashley was our daughter's first nurse in the NICU when she born early at 23 weeks and took care of her several nights during her stay. From the moment we met her, we knew our daughter was in the best place with the best care. There are no words or units of measure to describe the comfort that she provided to us in this unimaginable and scary situation. Not only did she give us the intangible feelings of comfort and security, she confidently and professionally described what was medically being done to our daughter. She also took the time to make her a little tutu (on her own time) and got her a little hat, as well as made us a handprint/poem to have as a keepsake. She did not have to do these things as part of her job, but they meant the world to us as parents. We could tell she took on our daughter like she was her own. We believe she is the perfect example of what any parent with a child in the NICU would want to experience. Thank you, Ashley, you are a true DAISY Nurse.
