I am the daughter of B. She was a patient. My dad passed away, and we were in the midst of planning his arrangements on the following Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon, my mom started having severe pain in her abdomen, which ended in a trip to the hospital. She ended up having surgery to fix that problem. However, more things arose, and she ended up being unable to attend my dad's funeral. This is where Ashley went above and beyond in her care of my mom. She not only offered to get her a day pass and go with her to the funeral but also gave me her personal number so I could contact her.

In the end, my mother stayed in the hospital but was still able to see and say goodbye to my dad. The funeral home in Morton drove my dad over to the hospital, and we had a private room for our family to gather with my mom. Ashley kindly helped freshen her up, combed her hair, and brought her down on the elevator to see him. I will never forget the kindness and compassion she showed my mom and also me. Thank you so much! Thank you to all the staff at OSF. My mom is home and doing well.
