She walked us through the hard parts and discussed the options for funeral services, let us pick from premature infant clothing, and explained everything else involved in such a hard time in our lives.
I came into the Community Medical Center for an induction, knowing my life would forever be different once I left. Our son had a rare genetic mutation called Meckel-Gruber Syndrome. Ashley was my nurse for 3 out of the 4 days I was admitted. She walked us through the hard parts and discussed the options for funeral services, let us pick from premature infant clothing, and explained everything else involved in such a hard time in our lives. She took the extra time to answer all my questions and help me walk through a part of my life that I do not wish on anyone. Her compassionate care towards me, my husband, and my family was outstanding. My husband has a strong Native American heritage. After our son passed, she helped us coordinate a place and time, outside the hospital, where we blessed our son. She helped us build molds of our little boy's feet and hands. Foot prints and finger prints. She cried with me. The little things she did, still stick with me 8 months later, and she will forever be recognized in our hearts
