April 2023 Honoree
Ashley Magaha, RN
Nurse Ashley is professional but kind. She is compassionate in all aspects of her job. That also includes duties she takes on just to help her fellow staff and patients. I have witnessed Nurse Ashley pass out medication, take blood pressures and introduce herself to her patients. I’ve seen her hand out towels, sheets, blankets, and toiletries. I’ve witnessed Nurse Ashley call down to the kitchen to fix orders that weren’t correct, pass out trays when short-staffed, and bring out snacks.
I’ve also witnessed Nurse Ashley help patients by going into personal property, checking for contraband, and cutting out the strings that are not allowed so the property could be given. This is a huge deal when you get to wear your own clothes instead of a gown. You feel more human.
Nurse Ashley always has a smile on her face. She makes you smile and you don’t even realize it. I can’t explain to you enough how Nurse Ashley deserves this.
