My father's last hospital stay was at Jane Phillips Medical Center. From there, he went to Hospice, where he only lived just a little over two more days before passing away. Ashley was the last nurse he had in the hospital. I was touched by her genuine care and consideration of my father. My father had not been wanting to eat. While I had been taking care of him, I had a hard time getting him to be interested in consuming any food. When he was at a different hospital the week before, they also had trouble getting him to eat anything. When he was under Ashley's care, he ate! She made him a strawberry shake. He drank some of that and even ate some of his meal. It was the most I'd seen him eat in a while. I marveled at this. I believe that Ashley's warm and attentive nature made a big difference. I'm thankful my father encountered her in his last days. Just right after my father left the room to be transported to Hospice, Ashley consoled me. I knew my father was going to pass away soon, and it was a very difficult time for me. Her gentle and considerate presence during this difficult time was helpful and memorable. I am thankful for her.

Thank you, Ashley, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
