During most of dad’s stay, Ashley was his nurse and she was at his side making sure he was comfortable doing all she could do for him.
My dad had recently been admitted to the hospital and Ashley was his nurse. Little did we know that we were going to find out during that hospitalization that my dad would be diagnosed with terminal cancer. Ashley was there from the beginning. She showed me dad’s CT scan and went over it with me and made sure all my questions were answered, as I had a lot of them because I was in such shock. She took care of my dad as if he was her own dad and that meant the world to me to know that he was in good hands when I couldn’t be there. Dad ended up getting released and came home for a few days only to get weaker and unfortunately ended up back in the hospital. We were told that the cancer had become very aggressive and the doctors didn’t even think chemo would help, nor that dad’s body could handle it. Dad did not want to suffer, so we chose comfort measures and hospice came in. That next morning the nurse called me regarding dad and it was Ashley, I was so thankful to know she was once again with dad and taking care of him. During most of dad’s stay, Ashley was his nurse and she was at his side making sure he was comfortable doing all she could do for him. She not only took care of dad, but she took care of me as well she made sure I ate by ordering me a tray up from the cafeteria and she also got me coffee from the coffee shop downstairs. She even got me a card saying what a pleasure it was to take care of my dad and my family. She was truly a godsend to me and I will never forget her. She is a wonderful nurse and very compassionate. She is the kind of nurse that Blessing should be proud to have. Thank you Ashley we love you and I’m sure my dad will be watching over you from heaven!
