On March 10th a patient was transferred from 2 North. He stopped breathing as he entered the room. Ashley was at the bedside and immediately took charge. The patient was stabilized enough to get to CT. While in CT, the patient coded again, but Ashley remained calm. She offered words of encouragement to the patient as well. This patient is alive today because of the care and prayers he received from Ashley. Although she is a new grad, she stayed calm under pressure and followed SMART Principles.
