Ashley took care of my daddy when he was admitted for cancer. She was so attentive and kind. Always came in with a smile! When my daddy was down she would cheer him up. She also helped me deal with his medical issues. He came back from a surgical biopsy one night and was very confused and she helped me with his anxiety and found out who I needed to talk to, in order to help him calm down! He was reacting to sedation he had during his biopsy. He overheard a conversation regarding another nearby patient in recovery and he thought it was about him. Ashley was very patient during our almost two-week stay. All the nurses and CNAs were very good with him, but Ashely went above and beyond. She supported me in my anxiety and gave hugs as needed. I have never met anyone whom I have connected with like her.
Recently, my mom became very ill and was in the ICU. Ashley heard and recognized my voice and just stopped by to say hello! I have never had that happen. It has been so stressful to have had my father get so sick and then to die and one week later I am dealing with my mom just as sick. It made it a little better to hear a comforting voice and get that warm reassuring hug from Ashley! It helped my anxiety that day and she was also her nurse that day and was so caring and thoughtful.
